(IsraelNN.com) The Supreme Court Thursday turned down a petition that the government be ordered to act to help free Jonathan Pollard, who is serving a life prison term in the United States for handing over classified intelligence information to Israel.
The justices ruled that the issue involves a policy matter that the United States and Israel should determine themselves. However, they stated they hope that the government will not ignore the plight of Pollard and will act on his behalf.
