Shlomo Moshe Amar
Rishon LeTzion and Chief Rabbi of Israel
With the Help of G-d Almighty,
On the Eve of Rosh HaShana 5766
My Brothers, Friends, Colleagues,
Rabbis of Israel and of Every Place:
May the grace of G-d be upon you.
Please be so kind as to add the attached prayer to the prayers concerning opening and closing of the ark and removing the Sifrei Torah, so that we might on this Holy and Mighty Day make our entreaty for a dear man, Yehonatan ben Malka Pollard, who did so much for our nation and for the land of our forefathers. May the Holy One Blessed Be He redeem him from captivity and return him to the bosom of his People, to a life of goodness and peace, along with all the captives and prisoners of Am Yisrael.
With blessings for a Ktiva v'Chatima Tova,
(signed)
Your loving,
Shlomo Moshe Amar
The Rishon LeTzion and Chief Rabbi of Israel
