Pollard Activists Protest in Schools
Arutz7 News - May 5, 2005
(IsraelNN.com) Activists in a movement pressing for release of Jonathan Pollard from prison sneaked into about 100 high schools today and unfurled banners proclaiming that "Pollard Prevented a Second Holocaust."
The Education Ministry said regulations forbid propaganda at schools and is investigating how the activists entered with the banners. One of the demonstrators, 18-year-old Adi Ginsburg, said their protest was democratic and in accordance with Holocaust Memorial Day, which he says teaches people not to be silent. He added that the United States kept information on the Holocaust from the public and also has not told all the facts concerning Pollard, who is serving a life sentence for passing to Israel intelligence information.
