Erev Yom Kippur: Dry Bones on Pollard in Jerusalem Post
Justice4JPnews - September 25, 2009
The Dry Bones toon below appeared today in the Yom Kippur Weekend Editon of the Jerusalem Post (09/25/09)
The toon appeared in the bottom left hand side of page 18, The Financial Page; kitty-corner to " Israel Money Markets" which details the rates of world currencies relative to the Israeli Shekel; and just below the "World Financial Markets" which lists the stock market postings. You really couldn't miss it because it is the only thing in color on that page!
It appeared in the same issue of the Jerusalem Post published immediately after PM Bibi Netanyahu's bold speech at the United Nations. Consequently the issue contains numerous instances of congratulations and applause, lionizing the Israeli prime minister for his speech. In the news photos that accompany the praise, Bibi appears to be confident and proud of his verbal prowess.
On the eve of Yom Kippur a more thoughtful frame of mind predominates. Beautiful words must be supported by principled action. Words alone won't win accolades from the Master of the World, when principled actions are absent or morally deficient. The toon below speaks for itself.
