Invitation to Two Ceremonies July 1st Honoring Jonathan Pollard

On Sunday July 1st 2007, Jonathan Pollard will be honored for his bravery, courage and devotion to the Land and People of Israel in two separate ceremonies. He will be awarded honorary citizenship of Hebron at a ceremony in Hebron; and honorary citizenship of Har Hebron at a ceremony in Har Hebron. The public is cordially invited to attend both events

The first ceremony will take place 5:30 PM at Ma'arat HaMachpela in Hebron (The Cave of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs). Jonathan Pollard's wife Esther will be on hand to receive the award on behalf of her husband.

The second ceremony honoring Jonathan Pollard has been planned as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of Har Hebron. The ceremony will take place (B"H) at 7:30PM in Har Hebron. Public leaders and rabbinic leaders will join all of the citizens of Har Hebron at this festive event, which officially begins at 4:00PM with a fair featuring the produce of Har Hebron, refreshments, games for the children and more. Esther Pollard is scheduled to arrive in Har Hebron (from Ma'arat HaMachpela) at 7:30PM to represent her husband at the awards ceremony.
