Phone In Rally for Pollard

An old/new type of demonstration is being held on behalf of Jonathan Pollard starting today and continuing for "as long as it takes" according to the the Jerusalem-based organizers. Supporters and sympathizers are being asked to call the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv (03-519-7575)*, demanding that Pollard be freed. Organizers hope the response will be in the thousands daily, thereby making a major impact - or worse - on consular lines. Similar actions were taken several decades ago when activists bombarded Russian Embassy phone lines demanding freedom for Soviet Jewry.
