Dear Mr. Jacobovici:
Re: Documentary on Pollard Case for The History Channel
Mr. Pollard has consulted with his team and we are unanimous in rejecting your request to interview him. We are all deeply troubled by the lack of professionalism and insensitivity to Jonathan's situation reflected in your failure to secure his agreement prior to contracting to make a documentary about his case.
Your deliberate avoidance of, and failure to consult with, his team from the outset has destroyed any hope we might have had that the film is going to expose this flagrant miscarriage of justice. It appears, after all, that this film will merely provide another vehicle for the dissemination of governmental lies and personal calumnies.
Jonathan's attorneys are being consulted in this matter.
Sincerely yours,
Rabbi Pesach Lerner
