Jonathan Pollard Asks MKs to Send Petition to Congress

Jonathan Pollard has asked Knesset members to forward a petition pressing for his release from prison to the Congress.
MK Michael Kleiner (Herut) met with Pollard at his prison in North Carolina yesterday, and presented him with a petition to US President George W. Bush signed by 110 MKs.
Pollard expressed hope that the petition would have an impact in Congress. He also said he wished MKs were as united about affairs in Israel during difficult times as they are in his case.
The petition was organized by MK Michael Eitan (Likud).
Pollard is serving a life sentence for passing classified information to Israel.
