Poll: 92% Believe Israel Betrayed Pollard
October 28, 1997A poll taken this morning (October 28, 1997) in Israel by the Channel 2 morning show "Reshet Al HaBoker" produced stunning results. The question posed was:
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT ISRAEL BETRAYED JONATHAN POLLARD?
92% AGREED
8% DISAGREED
Jonathan Pollard's wife Esther, who is in Jerusalem, was interviewed on the show on the eve of the Pollard Case hearing, which is scheduled for 8:00 am tomorrow morning (October 29, 1997) at the Supreme Court of Israel.
The Pollards were not able to celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary which occurred today.
During the interview, Mrs. Pollard shared recorded snippets of recent telephone conversations with her husband. This is the first time since Pollard's arrest 13 years ago that the public has heard his voice directly and not through a third party intermediary.
