Dear Mr. President:
On behalf of the more than 80,000 members of AMT Women, I am writing to express our dismay at your decision not to commute the life sentence of Jonathan Pollard.
It is our conviction that Jonathan Pollard's intent was not to harm the United States but rather to help Israel, an ally of our country. We believe the life sentence given to Mr. Pollard is unjust. There are others who have been found guilty of more severe crimes against the government and they have not suffered such a harsh punishment.
We hope that you, Mr. President, will reconsider your decision and commute Jonathan Pollard to time already served.
Sincerely,
Norma Holzer
National President
