White House Operator: Most Calls are for Jonathan Pollard

Aaron-I just called the White House- couldn't get through to the comments line -it has been busy for days!!!- but did get through to a general operator who told me that for the past 2 weeks the majority of calls they have been receiving have been on behalf of Jonathan Pollard-- and the President is very aware of the fact that thousands of people around the world care about seeing him pardoned/freed...so I said to her tell him to act on it!!!!

J4JP thanked IMRA and the writer for the information and asked if we might share the email with others. Here's the response we received, with a great suggestion about how to ratchet up the number of phone calls to the White House:

By all means- it was, of course, an "unofficial report" from an operator but obviously one on whom the number of calls has made quite an impression....methinks we should redouble the efforts and really blast them and if the 1111 number is busy call through the alternate one and unofficially leave a message....anyway---Best regards to you both

J4JP thinks this is a great idea! Let's do it! Here's how it works:

If you are having trouble getting through to the comment line, call the main switchboard instead at 202-456-1414 and speak with the operator. Tell the operator that you have been trying to get through to the comment line to leave a message for President Bush to free Jonathan Pollard, but have not been able to. Ask if you can leave the message with the main switchboard operator. If there are enough calls, they will get the message, one way or another! And keep trying the comment line too: 202-456-1111 too!

The calls for Jonathan's release are counted, and every call counts! Let's really redouble our efforts now as we are coming into the home stretch!
