The Gaza Coast Regional Council will grant honorary citizenship to Jonathan Pollard in a special ceremony in honor of his 49th birthday this week. His wife Esther will be in attendance, and the hope is that other local councils will take a similar step on behalf of Mr. Pollard. He has been in U.S. prison for almost 18 years...

The honorary citizenship ceremony will be held tonight, August 3, 2003 in Gush Katif, as part of a region-wide solidarity evening in honor of Jonathan Pollard.
