Letter to Clinton from the Association of Americans and Canadians In Israel

April 2, 1996

The Honorable William J. Clinton
President
United States of America
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

Dear President Clinton,

The Board of Directors of the Association of Americans and Canadians in Israel representing more than 75,000 U.S. citizens living here has passed the following resolution at its recent meeting:

BE IT RESOLVED that AACI, as a matter of policy, being supportive of Jonathan Pollard's release from prison, urges the President of the United States to commute the sentence to time served and commits itself to providing Jonathan Pollard with a citation to that effect.

On behalf of our entire membership, I urge you to act on this resolution and to release Jonathan Pollard so that he may begin living as close to a normal life as possible

I look forward to your response.

Sincerely yours,

Gordon Sugarman
National President
