President Bill Clinton
The White House
Washington, D.C.

Dear President Clinton:

Very shortly, Jews all over the world will usher in the Jewish New Year. With the advent of Rosh Hashanah, I am writing to beg you from the bottom of my heart to free my husband, Jonathan Pollard.

In this 'era of peace' that the United States has brokered between Israel and the Arab states, Jonathan Pollard remains a casualty of the war that was. His continued incarceration flies in the face of newly-established friendly relations between the parties.

As the "honest broker" in this new peace, I beg you to hear and understand a wife's anguish. I beg you to show the spirit of compassion and forgiveness that the United States is famous for. I implore you to send my husband home for Rosh Hashanah, Mr. Clinton.

The entire Jewish world will breathe a collective sigh of relief when Jonathan Pollard is set free.

I pray that you an find it in your heart to make the gesture that will show America's good faith in marking the end of an era of war, and that will heal a wife's broken heart.

Mr. President, I urge you. Act now.

(Mrs. Jonathan Pollard)
